9x9 Clipboard Photo Frame Tutorial

SUPPLIES NEEDED:

STAMPS: NONE? I guess not...sometimes that just "happens"

CARDSTOCK: Barely Banana, Le Jardin Designer Series Papers, Bashful Blue scrap

INK: CRAFT So Saffron, Artichoke, Bashful Blue, Mellow Moss, Brocade Blue; CLASSIC So Saffron

ACCESSORIES: Corner Punch, Sponges (cut in quarters); Ribbon: Bashful Blue, Wasabi Double Stitch and Vanilla (1/4" each); Hodgepodge Hardware (2 squares 7 2 oblong), On Board Ginormous Pieces, Word Window Punch, Crystal Effects, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, Heat & Stick Powder, Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder, Scallop Punch, Pretties Kit (medium 4 petal flower), Aqua Painter, So Saffron (Classic) ink refill, 9x9 on Board Clipboard, Crop-A-Dile, Heat tool

NON-SU: Sponge Brush, Mod Podge

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Sponge edges of clipboard with Classic Saffron ink. Sponge the following with CRAFT ink:    Leaves-first with Mellow Moss, sides & edges with Artichoke; Flower-first with Bashful Blue, then inside and outside edges and sides with Brocade Blue; Set aside to dry or use Heat tool.
2. Sponge (8) chipboard dots (from Ginormous Pieces) with So Saffron Craft ink. Dip in Heat & Stick  powder, heat to melt, then dip in Iridescent ice EP. Attach to each center of each flower section    with mini glue dots or Crystal Effects.
3. Cut Le Jardin D.S. paper to 9 1/16 x 9 1/16 (just a tad bit over 9 on each side). Trace template     around clip area then cut out. (I made a small template to go around the clip)
4. Apply Mod Podge to front of clipboard-be sure to get areas around clip.  Attach D.S. paper to         clipboard.  Arrange flower under clip making sure to center between two flower petals, and do not  go past bottom of clipboard.  Arrange leaves where you want them to be then use Crystal Effects  to adhere the leaves only.
5. Use Crop-A-Dile to punch hole in middle bottom of clipboard for hardware (arrow) and insert brad.
6. Trace over some of the swirls on Le Jardin paper with Crystal Effects then apply glitter.  Let dry.
7. Make Butterfly embellishment and attach to clip (see separate directions)
8. Tie 3 each of 3 ribbon pieces around ring in clip.

TO MAKE BUTTERFLY EMBELLISHMENT

1. Punch Bashful Blue cardstock with scallop punch. "Color" Pretties flower with So Saffron ink refill & Aqua Painter. Dry with heat tool or set aside to dry.  Lay colored flower on cardstock, then arrange hardware on top of flower to create sections of butterfly-(squares on bottom, other on top). Apply with Crystal Effects before laying down and afterwards. Hold till lightly set then let dry.
2. Punch out Barely Banana cardstock with Word Window Punch. Attach to center of butterfly. Take two brads and hammer so heads are flat with stems. When dry, flip butterfly over and attach "attennae" with Crystal Effects to center of butterfly at top.  When dry, attach to top of clipboard facing down but not touching flower.
